Find WhatsApp Conversations Faster With New Custom Chat Lists

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called custom chat lists, which allows users to organize their conversations in a more personalized way. This feature is an expansion of the chat filters introduced earlier this year. To create a custom list, users can tap the plus icon in the filter bar at the top of the Chats tab. They can add both individual contacts and group chats to their lists, similar to favorites. Users can create separate lists for different groups, such as family members, work colleagues, or neighborhood groups, to quickly find important conversations. New lists will appear alongside existing chat filters like "All," "Unread," and "Groups" in the filter bar. Users can make changes to their lists by long-pressing on any list name to edit its contents. They can add or remove conversations as needed. The custom chat lists feature is rolling out to users today and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks. Additionally, WhatsApp has also added a new Home Screen widget for iPhone users, which allows them to access recent chats, favorites, pinned conversations, or frequently contacted friends directly from their iPhone Home Screen.
