A new rumor has surfaced about Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone, specifically about its camera features. Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously reported that the device would have a dual-lens rear camera, and now leaker Digital Chat Station claims that each lens will be 48 megapixels. This is similar to the current iPhone 16 Pro models, which also feature 48-megapixel cameras. The foldable iPhone's main camera is likely to have a 24mm lens with a ƒ/1.78 aperture and second-generation sensor-shift optical image stabilization. The device will also likely have a feature called "Fusion" which combines the high-resolution sensor with smart in-sensor cropping to deliver multiple high-quality focal lengths. There will be no telephoto lens due to space constraints. The foldable iPhone will also have a front-facing camera for both folded and unfolded states, with an under-screen selfie camera on the inner display and a hole punch-style camera on the outer display. Other rumored features include a 5.5-inch outer display, a 7.8-inch inner display, Touch ID integrated into the Side button, a liquid metal hinge mechanism, and a titanium chassis. The device is expected to be launched next year, with mass production planned for the second half of 2026.
