Gemini Add-ons will no longer appear under subscriptions in the Admin console for Workspace Business and Enterprise customers

In January 2025, Google announced plans to integrate premium AI features into Business and Enterprise offerings to enhance productivity and innovation. As a result, Gemini add-ons are no longer necessary and will no longer be charged for after January 31, 2025. This week, Google will start removing references to Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Business, AI Meetings & Messages, and AI Security add-ons from the Subscriptions page in the Admin console. This change applies to customers whose Workspace edition now includes the previously available add-on features. For example, Workspace Business Standard or Enterprise Standard subscribers with a Gemini Business add-on will no longer need the add-on since AI features are now included in their subscription. There will be no disruptions in service or changes in feature availability, and this change will not affect billing. Admins do not need to take any action, as the updates will be made automatically. End users will not be impacted and do not need to take any action. The update will start taking effect on June 25, 2025, and may take several weeks to roll out for affected customers. This update only impacts Google Workspace customers who previously purchased Gemini add-ons.
