It is built to read project configurations, including documentation, to improve the agent's performance. The new version also includes one-click rebase and merge to streamline the final stage of merging. GitLab 19.0 also introduces the ability to resolve merge conflicts with Duo's help, reducing a time-consuming manual task. The agent's actions are documented, maintaining an audit trail for transparency. All these features aim to reduce the manual effort required between creating a merge request and merging it. This includes automation for judgment-heavy work and mechanics. GitLab customers on Premium and Ultimate can try the new capabilities.
