Google TV is getting Gemini-powered photo editing at CES

Google is significantly expanding Gemini's capabilities on Google TV, showcasing advancements at CES 2026. The AI assistant will now let users adjust TV settings using natural language commands, simplifying the user experience. Gemini will enhance photo interaction, enabling searching, remixing, and slideshow creation from Google Photos. A key feature includes generating new media using Google's Veo and Nano Banana models directly on the TV platform. Gemini enables users to describe desired picture and sound adjustments, such as brightness, instead of manual menu navigation. The AI's information display is enhanced with a visually rich framework, providing detailed answers with images and video. "Dive deeper" offers narrated, interactive overviews for in-depth information on selected topics. Google recently deployed Gemini to its Google TV Streamer, with more features incoming. The new Gemini update will first launch on TCL TVs running Google TV before wider availability. Expect these updates to roll out to other Google TV devices gradually over the next few months.
