Hands On With Apple's New M4 Mac Mini

Apple recently launched new Mac mini, iMac, and MacBook Pro models with M4 chips. The new Mac mini has a smaller design compared to the previous M2 model, measuring 5 by 5 inches. It features a powerful M4 computer in a compact enclosure with multiple ports, including USB-C, HDMI, and Ethernet. The M4 and M4 Pro versions offer significant speed improvements over the prior M2 and M2 Pro chips, with up to 55% faster CPU performance in the M4 Pro compared to the M2 Pro. All M4 Macs come with at least 16GB RAM, a major upgrade from the previous 8GB starting RAM for the base model. The Mac mini is priced starting at $599, but it doesn't include a display or peripherals. It's suitable for both home and work setups, and its small size makes it portable. However, the power button is located on the bottom of the device, which might be inconvenient for those who frequently turn their Mac on and off.
