Here's how to pre-order the new Apple MacBook Air M4

Apple's new MacBook Air has been updated with a faster M4 chip, which provides up to twice the speed of the M1 model. The 13-inch model starts at $999, while the 15-inch model starts at $1,199, both $100 less than last year's models. The M4 chip features a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU. The laptop still comes with 16GB of RAM, but top-tier configurations can support up to 32GB, an increase from the M3 model's 24GB maximum. The new MacBook Air can connect to two external displays while using the built-in one, a welcome change for those who use their laptop as a desktop PC. The laptop also features Center Stage, Apple's auto-centering camera feature, paired with a 12MP camera. The device is available in a new sky blue color, in addition to midnight, starlight, and silver. The laptop still supports Apple Intelligence, runs macOS Sequoia, and has two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports. Pre-orders are available now, with a ship date of March 12. Overall, the updates make the new MacBook Air a worthwhile consideration for those with older models.
