Homemade hummus tastes weird

I've been making hummus for months with this recipe: https://www.themediterraneandish.com/how-to-make-hummus/#wprm-recipe-container-15161 After the first few times I started following the recipe a lot more loosely and it always tastes fine. I usually make a big batch en freeze part of it. However my last batch tasted and smelled really weird. I can't really describe the taste. At first I thought I hadn't added enough tahini, but that wasn't the problem. I ended up throwing it out because I thought it might have gone bad (even though that was near impossible since I first ate it the day after I made it I think). Yesterday I made a new batch, but it has the same weird taste... Has anyone else had the same problem? I know I haven't really given a description of a taste but I honestly don't know what I could compare it to. submitted by /u/Sudden_Property1257
