How come my laptop speeds up after I close some background app I never knew existed?
I recently noticed that my laptop suddenly runs much faster after I close a background application that I did not even realize was running, which makes me wonder how many hidden processes have been quietly consuming system resources without my knowledge. Before closing it, everything from opening folders to switching between browser tabs feels sluggish, but afterward, the laptop becomes noticeably more responsive, and I would like to understand how to identify these unknown background apps, determine whether they are safe to disable, and prevent unnecessary programs from slowing down my computer again.
