How to substitute Lemon and Lime

I am allergic to Lemon and Lime zest, I avoid the juice to out of caution. So many ingredients call for these two death fruits! What and how do I substitute them in recipes without completely changing the taste? submitted by /u/Unaware_BayLeaf
