CoreCivic just sold two of California's largest immigrant detention centers to the federal government for $1.5 billion, then apparently got hired to keep running the place.CalMatters reports that CoreCivic sold the Otay Mesa Detention Center in San Diego County and the California City Detention Facility in Kern County to the Department of Homeland Security on July 2.
