Pull requests for new skills are disabled due to reliance on internal, non-open-source evaluation infrastructure, though community feedback is actively sought through issue filing. Basic or core skills can be beneficial when prompts are vague, when using smaller, less capable models, when refactoring legacy code, or when deviating from standard architectural patterns. The community provides numerous valuable skills for Compose and Kotlin, but developers should prioritize reputable sources. The ultimate goal is for the knowledge contained in skills to be integrated into future models, rendering them obsolete over time.
