Introducing Colab Pro and Colab Pro+ for Google Workspace

Google Workspace admins can now purchase standalone Colab Pro and Colab Pro+ subscriptions for their users. Colab Pro offers 100 compute units with enhanced GPUs, memory, and AI-powered productivity features. Colab Pro+ provides all Colab Pro benefits plus an additional 400 compute units for a total of 500, enabling background execution for long-running sessions. These subscriptions allow users to access Google's computational resources for tasks like machine learning model training and data analysis. Admins can efficiently manage group subscriptions, minimizing individual account setup friction. Colab access is initially disabled and requires admin enablement, especially for K-12 institutions where parental consent is necessary for users under 18. End users can continue using their existing "Pay As You Go" subscriptions alongside Colab Pro or Pro+. The rollout is gradual and will be available to all Google Workspace customers with verified domains.
