Introducing the Salesforce for Gemini extension in Gmail

The Salesforce extension for Gemini in Google Workspace is now available, allowing users to access Salesforce information and perform tasks directly from Gmail. With this extension, users can ask Gemini for help with Salesforce tasks, such as creating leads and contacts, and retrieve information from Salesforce without leaving Gmail. The extension also enables more complex actions, like researching a lead's company and generating sales briefs. This feature is available to admins and end users, and enhances CRM interaction by connecting users directly to Salesforce data. The extension is currently only available in English and when using Gmail in a browser. Admins need to install or allowlist the extension before end users can access it, and end users require a Salesforce account to use this feature. The rollout is available now for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains. This feature is available to Google Workspace customers with specific plans, including Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, and those with the Gemini Education or Gemini Education Premium add-on. Additional resources are available, including Google Help, Google Admin Help, and the Google Workspace Marketplace. The Gemini Business and Gemini Enterprise add-ons are no longer available for purchase as of January 15, 2025.
