Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) will award its inaugural Vanguard Awards at Black Hat USA to recognize outstanding researchers and vendors. The Researcher Awards honor exceptional contributions in five categories, including Best Use of the RF Enclosure and Most In-Depth Submissions. The Vendor Awards acknowledge excellence in five areas, such as Best Security Advisories and Most Improved Vendor. These awards aim to highlight the positive work often overlooked in the cybersecurity community. ZDI will present the awards in person and share video messages from recipients who cannot attend. The ceremony will take place at the Trend Micro booth on the show floor at noon local time. Award categories may change annually to reflect evolving threats or deserving individuals or initiatives. ZDI's goal is to recognize and celebrate the valuable contributions that enhance cybersecurity and protect against real-world threats.
