iOS 26: 10+ Features Coming to the Phone App

iOS 26 introduces significant enhancements to the Phone app, including a unified design for easier navigation. New call screening options allow users to request a caller's name and reason for calling before accepting. Alternatively, the "Silence Unknown Callers" feature automatically sends calls from unsaved numbers to voicemail. Call filtering now categorizes missed calls from unknown numbers and silences identified spam calls. Users can report spam voicemails directly within the app, aiding Apple in identifying spam. Hold Assist intelligently waits on the line for you, notifying you when a live person is available. Live Translation translates incoming calls between supported languages in real-time. The app now offers extended call history for each contact and allows typing to Siri during calls. SharePlay and screen sharing capabilities are integrated for collaborative use during calls. eSIM transfers between Android and iPhone are simplified. Furthermore, the Phone app is now available on iPad and Mac, mirroring most of the iPhone's features, provided an iPhone is linked and Wi-Fi Calling is enabled.
