iOS 27 Apple Health App Redesign: Every New Feature Coming in 2026
Apple is significantly redesigning its Health app for iPhone and iPad. These changes are driven by advancements in the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4's Health Sensing System. New sensors enable more precise heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) readings throughout the day. The Health app will now leverage Apple Intelligence to transform this collected data into personalized user guidance. New sections like Insights, Readiness, Vitals, and Longevity will offer deeper analysis of health metrics. Insights will provide timely summaries and custom advice, while Readiness offers a score for activity recommendations. Vitals will include overnight and daytime views with HRV incorporated for recovery assessment. The Longevity tab will evaluate overall health across various categories and introduce a Health Age feature. Users can enhance this analysis by manually uploading or syncing lab results, with a partnership with Quest offering bloodwork panels for purchase within the app. Additionally, new at-home movement evaluations will allow users to track physical assessments like VO2 max using their iPhone. Cycle Tracking is also being expanded to include support for perimenopause and menopause. The updated Health app is expected to launch in late 2026, initially in U.S. English.
