iPhone 17 Outselling Every Other Phone Worldwide So Far This Year

The iPhone 17 was the world's best-selling smartphone in Q1 2026, achieving a 6% market share. Its Pro and Pro Max versions followed closely, securing the top three positions. The iPhone 16 also remained popular, demonstrating continued strong sales from the previous generation. Apple's success was attributed to upgrades bringing the base model closer to the Pro versions. The iPhone 17 saw significant sales growth in China, the U.S., and especially South Korea. Samsung's Galaxy A series filled most of the remaining top sales spots. The Redmi A5 from Xiaomi rounded out the top 10. The top 10 phones collectively accounted for a record 25% of global smartphone sales. The standard iPhone 17's flagship run is extended, with the launch of the iPhone 18 planned for spring 2027.
