iPhone 18 Pro Launching on September 18 With These 10 New Features
Apple has announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, featuring incremental updates over the iPhone 17 Pro models. Pre-orders begin September 12th, with availability on September 18th. These new iPhones are powered by the A20 Pro chip, the first 2nm chip in an iPhone, offering improved CPU and graphics performance. The devices come in three new colors: Burgundy, Black, and Glacier, with a more color-matched design. The Dynamic Island has been made smaller and supports up to three Live Activities simultaneously. A significant camera upgrade includes a 48-megapixel Fusion camera with variable aperture for enhanced low-light photography and depth of field control. New Pro controls in the Camera app allow manual adjustments to shutter speed, white balance, and aperture, along with histogram usage. The iPhone 18 Pro models can now record 4K Dolby Vision HDR time-lapse videos. Battery life has been extended, particularly on the Pro Max model, and fast charging now reaches 50% in 15 minutes. A revamped vapor chamber cooling system triples the surface area for better heat dissipation. Apple's second-generation C2 cellular modem offers AI-powered improvements for 5G and LTE with faster uploads and reduced energy consumption. Finally, both Pro and Pro Max models now offer a 2TB storage option.
