iPhone Duo is Missing These 10 iPhone 18 Pro Features
The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable iPhone, offering features like Duo FaceTime and upcoming Apple Pencil support. However, it omits several capabilities found on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. Notably, the Duo lacks a dedicated telephoto camera with significant optical zoom, relying on a 2x "optical-quality" zoom from its main Fusion camera. The main camera also misses variable aperture, limiting depth of field control. Its front-facing camera is lower resolution at 12 megapixels compared to the 18-megapixel Center Stage on Pro models. The iPhone Duo also doesn't include the Action button. Instead of Face ID, it uses a Touch ID button for authentication. The LiDAR Scanner, crucial for augmented reality, is absent on the Duo. Furthermore, advanced camera features like Pro controls, ProRAW, ProRes RAW, and spatial photos/videos are exclusive to the Pro models. iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pre-orders start September 12th with a September 18th launch. iPhone Duo pre-orders begin October 16th, with availability on October 23rd.
