It's All Part 2 of the Process
Tim C. encountered another bureaucratic challenge at the WTF Exchange (WTFX) when he needed more disk space for software development. Margritte, the contact person, insisted on formal planning and meetings for even a small request of 40Gb, despite Tim’s urgency. She questioned why Tim hadn't projected his disk space needs months in advance, though he explained no one had ever asked for an estimate. Frustrated, Tim bought an external hard drive, hoping to circumvent the process. However, WTFX refused the drive, citing procurement policies, vendor standards, and asset management concerns, despite it being new and provided by Tim. Margritte dismissed the external drive with disgust, reiterating the need for official meetings and preferred hardware. After a delay of several days, Tim finally received the necessary disk space through the official channels. He later discovered their company's significant software contract was a minor part of WTFX's overall project budget, which was heavily allocated to idle expatriate consultants. These consultants, referred to as "Anderson Androids," waited for Tim's team to complete the software development according to strict Gantt chart schedules.
