Lenovo's robot concept can help you digitally sign documents (and maybe annoy coworkers)

Lenovo unveiled the AI Workmate Concept, a desk robot designed to assist with office tasks and collaboration. This concept device features an Intel Core Ultra processor, 64GB of memory, and a Pico projector. It aims to integrate voice commands and large language models for streamlining workflows. The robot has an LCD face that displays expressions, enhancing its interaction capabilities. It can scan, summarize documents, and even assist with creating presentations using on-device AI. The Workmate projects images or documents onto desks or walls, facilitating information sharing. Concerns include the potential for increased workplace noise with its voice interactions. Lenovo aims to demonstrate its exploration of spatial and physical AI experiences for professional environments. The AI Work Companion Concept, a separate device, offers a different approach. It is a desk clock with a display for calendars and task lists, running independently. The Work Companion uses AI to sync tasks, provide daily action plans, and monitor screen time to prevent burnout. It also offers "playful interactions" including end-of-week task completion reports.
