LG previews the compact S20A soundbar at CES 2025

LG is introducing a new soundbar model, the S20A, which is a compact speaker designed to enhance TV audio without taking up too much space. The S20A is a 2.0-channel unit that offers 50 watts of power and is optimized to work with LG's TVs. When paired with an LG TV, the soundbar features the Wow Interface, allowing users to make sound adjustments through the TV UI. The soundbar also includes AI Sound Pro technology, which calibrates the audio based on each scene. Additionally, the S20A offers a three-band EQ, enabling users to customize treble, mids, and bass to their liking. During a demo, the soundbar impressed with its punchy highs and clarity, despite its compact size. The S20A does not come with a subwoofer, instead relying on its drivers to produce low-end tones. While this setup may not provide booming bass, LG does not see this as an issue. The company has not yet announced pricing or availability for the S20A, but this information is expected to be released closer to launch. The S20A is expected to be available for review later in the year, at which point its performance can be further evaluated.
