LinkedIn will require recruiters and executives to verify their identity to cut down on scams
LinkedIn is implementing identity verification for users altering their job titles, targeting executives and recruiters. This measure aims to combat fraudulent activities on the platform. The verification process requires providing a company email address to confirm workplace. The rule applies only to title changes; existing verified professionals are unaffected. LinkedIn previously offered verification to select companies, now extending it to all via a subscription. Verified companies and employees enhance trust and credibility. The platform battles significant fraud, including fake job postings and investment scams. This new verification system strengthens existing anti-fraud measures. The goal is to improve user safety and trust within the LinkedIn community. These changes aim to make LinkedIn a safer environment for both job seekers and employers.
