MacBook Pro With OLED Touch Screen Rumored to Launch in October or November

Mark Gurman, speaking on his Power On podcast, predicts Apple will launch 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with touch-enabled OLED displays this fall. These new laptops could be unveiled as early as October, or possibly in November. The forthcoming macOS version 14.2, currently in beta and expected by late October, is being tested on these devices. Beyond the OLED touch screen, rumors suggest these MacBook Pros will feature M3 Pro and M3 Max chips. They are also expected to have a thinner design and incorporate the Dynamic Island. There's speculation that these models might also include cellular connectivity via Apple's custom modems. These advanced models are anticipated to be positioned above the standard 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros. The standard models are expected to receive M4 Pro and M4 Max chips next year. It remains uncertain if Apple will retain the MacBook Pro branding or introduce a new name like MacBook Ultra for these touch-screen versions.
