Media3 1.10 has been released, bringing new features and improvements. The release enhances the Compose UI for media playback with new Material 3 components like Player and ProgressSlider. Playback speed control is also improved with a dedicated PlaybackSpeedControl and PlaybackSpeedToggleButton. ExoPlayer gains support for Dolby Vision Profile 10 and VVC tracks in MP4 containers. MPEG-H UI manager support and improved IAMF binaural output are now available. Ad playback reliability and HLS interstitial support have been enhanced, along with custom tab integration for ad click-throughs. MediaSessionService now extends LifecycleService for better lifecycle management. Experimental support for more efficient playback loop scheduling is now available in ExoPlayer. Media editing sees more robust speed adjustments with a new maximum output frame rate option in Transformer. Functionality for frame extraction and Lottie effects has been moved to separate modules. Developers are encouraged to provide feedback through the issue tracker.
