Modern database environments rarely run a single type of workload. Most production systems handle both transactional operations and analytical queries simultaneously. These mixed workloads, often referred to as hybrid workloads, place significant pressure on traditional database indexing and storage strategies.In such environments, disk-based indexes can become a performance bottleneck.
