Meta then matches this video against existing profile photos to ensure authenticity. The verification process is free, quick, and available to users 18 and older who adhere to community standards. Accounts must not display any signs of inauthentic behavior to qualify. The verified badge will be visible on various Facebook features like Marketplace, Dating, and Groups. It is intended solely for personal profiles, not for Pages or ProMode accounts. This free offering is distinct from Meta Verified, the company's paid subscription service. Facebook Verified aims to signal genuine human users, unlike the bundled premium features of the paid tier. The rollout is gradual, starting in select regions before expanding worldwide.
