Microphone and Camera Streaming for Mixed Reality Link
The latest Mixed Reality Link update enhances connection between your mixed reality headset and Windows PC. Your headset can now function as a microphone for Windows applications. This allows for more natural communication in meetings, games, and chats directly from the device you are wearing. Additionally, the headset's front-facing camera can be utilized by Windows applications to share your perspective. This means you can show others what you are seeing in real-time. Meta Quest users can now leverage the Avatar Camera to appear as their avatar in Windows. This feature allows users to maintain their presence in virtual interactions without needing a traditional webcam. These new capabilities are accessible with Mixed Reality Link version 26.9105.9070.0 and newer. Simply connect your headset via Mixed Reality Link to enable these new microphone and camera sources in Windows. These sources include a microphone, a passthrough camera, and an avatar camera for Meta users. You can select these devices within your preferred applications.
