Modify Content in Teach: AI-powered tools to adapt your lessons in minutes

Educators spend significant time adapting existing lesson materials rather than creating new ones. Copilot in Teach now offers "Modify Content," an AI-powered tool designed to streamline this process. This feature allows teachers to transform current lesson materials like instructions and reading passages. Users can paste their content or upload files, then choose modification options to tailor it for their classroom. The AI generates suggestions that educators review and approve, maintaining control over the final output. Modify Content provides four key functionalities. It can align existing lessons to specific curriculum standards, ensuring they meet required learning objectives. The tool also differentiates instructions by adapting them for different grade levels and adding scaffolds for diverse learners. Furthermore, it revises reading levels of text, preserving meaning and vocabulary while simplifying content, and can generate accompanying glossaries. Finally, educators can enrich their materials by adding relevant real-world, historical, or scientific examples to clarify abstract concepts. To use Modify Content, educators need a Microsoft 365 Education license and must be logged in as an educator. The input content needs to be at least 50 characters long. Teachers are encouraged to start with clear, detailed input and always review the AI-generated output before saving. Combining modifications and preserving key vocabulary are also recommended practices for optimal results.
