Nano-wrinkle waveguides for programmable polariton channeling
Polaritons (hybrid light-matter excitations) in van der Waals materials hold promise for nanophotonics, but their application is normally hampered by their limited lateral confinement. Here, the authors report a strategy to fabricate deterministic high- curvature wrinkles in hBN films and apply them as controllable polaritonic and thermal waveguides.
