Google is introducing beta support for Drive for desktop on Windows 11 devices powered by Snapdragon processors. This release allows users to easily sync and store files online from Windows PCs powered by Snapdragon. The beta version is compiled natively for ARM64. To opt-in to the beta, users need to download and install the beta version of Google Drive for desktop on an Arm-compatible Windows 11 device powered by Snapdragon. Users can opt-out at any time by disconnecting their account and uninstalling the application. The beta version requires Windows 11 and Microsoft WebView2, which is typically included with Windows 11. If Microsoft WebView2 is missing, the installer will recommend downloading and installing it. This is a beta version and may contain bugs, so it should be used with non-production data only or with separate data backup. Users can submit feedback through the application, including logs to facilitate troubleshooting. The beta version is available to all Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual Subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts.
