Roche announced positive results from the phase III ALLEGORY trial of Gazyva/Gazyvaro for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Over 76% of patients on Gazyva/Gazyvaro achieved a significant improvement in their SLE symptoms. Gazyva/Gazyvaro also demonstrated superiority in secondary endpoints, like time to first flare and remission rates improving them. If approved, Gazyva/Gazyvaro could become the first Type II anti-CD20 therapy for SLE, targeting B cells. The treatment showed a consistent safety profile, with no new safety signals identified.
