Noctua has released a new 140mm fan called the NF-A14x25 G2 PWM, which comes in three configurations. The fan is a follow-up to the NF-A12x25 and features improved performance, moving about 50% more air than its predecessor. The standard model spins at up to 1,500rpm and is available for $39.90. A two-fan set with an RPM offset is also available for $76.90, which Noctua claims can avoid periodic humming or other acoustic issues. A quieter version, the NF-A14x25 G2 LS-PWM, spins at up to 800rpm and generates only 11.4dBA of noise. The quieter model uses less than half the wattage of the standard model and is also quieter. The fans are available now and feature improved specs, including increased airflow and static pressure. The NF-A14x25 G2 PWM has a maximum input power of 2.28 watts and a current of 0.19 amps. Noctua's engineer, Jakob Dellinger, has discussed the importance of offsets and beat frequency in an interview with Gamers Nexus. The new fans are designed to provide improved cooling and acoustic performance.
