Nuki Unveils Smart Lock Ultra With Faster Operation, Compact Design

Nuki unveils the Smart Lock Ultra, a compact and swift smart lock. With a built-in battery and brushless motor, it unlocks in under 1.5 seconds, possibly making it the fastest smart lock available. Wi-Fi, Matter-over-Thread, and Bluetooth connectivity are built-in, eliminating the need for a separate bridge. The European version requires lock cylinder replacement, while the upcoming US model will be a retrofit solution. The lock supports major smart home platforms, geofencing, and various control methods, including a smartphone app and accessories. Battery life is rated at six months per charge, and charging is via a magnetic cable. The Smart Lock Ultra will be available in Europe in December for €349, with the US version expected in the second quarter of 2025.
