The NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti is a solid 4K performer that offers a balance between performance and value, but its price has been pushed beyond its MSRP due to card makers and retailers. The ASUS 5070 Ti Prime is currently selling for $900 at Best Buy and $750 at Newegg, but it's out of stock at both stores. The RTX 5070 Ti features 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, making it a better option than the cheaper 5070 with 12GB of VRAM. The card has a peak power draw of 300 watts, making it suitable for smaller gaming rigs without requiring a power supply upgrade. The RTX 5070 Ti fully supports multi-frame generation in DLSS 4, NVIDIA's AI upscaling technology, which allows it to generate up to 3 frames with AI for every frame rendered in real-time. This feature makes the card capable of matching the speeds of the $1,599 RTX 4090. In gaming tests, the RTX 5070 Ti performed well in 4K with ray tracing and maxed-out graphics settings, reaching 200fps in Dragon Age and 150fps in Cyberpunk 2077. The card idled between 30C and 35C and reached up to 65C under load, but its fan array was able to cool it down quickly. The RTX 5070 Ti is a great option for 4K gaming, but its price needs to settle around $750 to be compelling. AMD's upcoming RDNA 4 Radeon 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs will be direct competitors to the 5070 and 5070 Ti, but NVIDIA has a head start with its DLSS technology.
