Aging-related inflammation can have excessive activation of the STING pathway as some of its features. Here the authors look at the function of Omaveloxolone and show this compound binds to the base of the STING ligand-binding domain and destabilises STING leading to STING K27-linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation and show Omaveloxolone reducing aging associated inflammation in aged male mice.
