Joining a new company can be daunting at the best of times, but anyone onboarding during the COVID-19 pandemic will probably experience a whole new meaning to first day jitters. When I woke up on day 1 at Thoughtworks, whilst I was grateful for the short commute from my bed to my laptop, I was nervous about the prospect of starting a job remotely.
