PayPal and Venmo users get a free year of Perplexity Pro and early access to its AI browser

Perplexity, an AI company, is partnering with PayPal to offer its Comet browser to millions of users. PayPal and Venmo users will receive a free 12-month Perplexity Pro subscription. This promotion is part of PayPal's new subscription hub, offering users a $50 credit for linking three subscriptions. Users can claim the free Perplexity Pro subscription via the PayPal or Venmo apps. The offer is valid until the end of the year and will auto-renew. Comet browser, launched in July, integrates Perplexity's AI as its default search engine. This AI allows users to ask questions, summarize text, and perform actions directly from the browser. The browser is built on Chromium, the same base as Chrome, Edge, and Opera. Perplexity previously attempted to buy Chrome but the acquisition was unsuccessful. The partnership aims to increase Comet browser adoption through PayPal's vast user base.
