Polarized detection sharpens optical live-cell fluorescence imaging
A multichannel microscopy method that exploits the polarization of fluorescent molecules reconstructs super-resolved images from a single camera frame. The approach not only captures fast cellular dynamics that are missed by methods that require hundreds of frames, but also reads the orientation of fluorescent molecules within cells.
