Price and tax updates for apps... Note

Price and tax updates for apps, In-App Purchases, and subscriptions

The App Store allows developers to sell digital goods and services globally, supporting 44 currencies across 175 storefronts. Prices or proceeds may be adjusted due to changes in tax regulations or foreign exchange rates. These adjustments use publicly available exchange rate information to maintain consistent prices across storefronts. As of October, proceeds from eligible apps and In-App Purchases have been increased in Nepal and Kazakhstan, where Apple no longer remits VAT for local developers. In Madeira, the VAT rate has been decreased from 5% to 4% for certain digital goods. Exhibit B of the Paid Applications Agreement has been updated to reflect these changes. Additionally, pricing for apps and In-App Purchases will be updated for the Japan and Türkiye storefronts on December 2, unless these storefronts are selected as the base for the app or In-App Purchase. Prices will be updated to maintain equalization with the chosen base price, but will not change for auto-renewable subscriptions or manually managed prices. Developers can view and edit upcoming price changes in the Pricing and Availability section of Apps in App Store Connect. Developers can also change the prices of their apps, In-App Purchases, and auto-renewable subscriptions at any time.
