Sony has unveiled its first wireless fight stick, codenamed Project Defiant, which uses PlayStation Link wireless technology to connect to PS5 and PC. The technology provides an ultra-low latency connection for precise in-game response. The device can also be connected via a USB-C connection for a wired experience. The fight stick features toolless interchangeable restrictor gates and mechanical switches for its buttons. It also has the same touch pad as the DualSense wireless controller. The stick can wirelessly wake up the PS5 by pressing the PS button. It has a storage compartment and will ship with a sturdy carrying case. The pricing and release date have not been announced, but it will be available for purchase in 2026. The fight stick may be released in time for the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls game, which is also coming out next year. The studio behind the Guilty Gear franchise developed the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls game.
