Proton Pass now supports Touch ID and Windows Hello biometric logins

Proton's password manager, Proton Pass, has introduced biometric authentication for users on Pass Plus plans and above, allowing for fingerprint or face recognition login. This feature is not available for free users. The app also now includes identities, which can automatically fill out contact information in forms, and this feature is available for all users. Biometric authentication works with Touch ID on macOS and Windows Hello on Windows. Proton Pass initially launched in beta in early 2023 and has been expanding its features to compete with other password managers. The new features are available today in the Proton Pass app for Windows and Mac. Proton is known for its encrypted email and VPN services and is focusing on building out its encryption-focused password manager. The minimum Pass Plus plan costs $23.88 annually or $4.99 monthly. Proton Pass product lead Son Nguyen Kim stated that the new features aim to enhance security offerings and streamline everyday tasks for users.
