Google has expanded its eSignature feature to allow users to request electronic signatures on PDF files stored in Google Drive. This capability includes custom fields such as phone number, job title, and company. The eSignature feature was previously only available in Google Docs for select Google Workspace customers. With this update, users can request and capture signatures without leaving the Google Workspace environment. Admins can control whether to turn eSignature on or off for their users, while end users can learn more about sending signature requests and signing documents with eSignature through the Help Center. The rollout of this feature will be gradual, starting on December 4, 2024, and will take up to 15 days for feature visibility. The eSignature feature is available to Google Workspace customers with Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Starter, Standard and Plus, Essentials and Enterprise Essentials Plus, Education Plus, and Google Workspace Individual subscribers. This update aims to make it easier for users to request and capture signatures digitally. The eSignature feature is a convenient and efficient way to manage official contracts and other documents. Users can access resources and guides on how to use the eSignature feature through the Google Workspace Admin Help and Google Help centers.
