Roche will present new data from its neuromuscular portfolio at the Muscular Dystrophy Association conference, including 12 oral and poster presentations on spinal muscular atrophy and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The data demonstrate the breadth of Roche's neuromuscular portfolio and show sustained improvements or stabilization in mobility and independence for those receiving disease-modifying treatments. Five-year exploratory data from the SUNFISH study of Evrysdi in people with Types 2 or 3 SMA showed overall long-term stabilization of motor function improvements from baseline. Patients and caregivers reported continuous improvement or stabilization in levels of independence for performing daily activities. Additionally, mean treatment adherence with Evrysdi over the multi-year period was over 99%. Elevidys showed statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements across key measures of motor function two years after treatment in boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Muscle health and longer-term functional outcomes from individuals with Duchenne's disease after treatment with Elevidys demonstrated long-term stabilization or slowing of disease progression. No new safety signals were observed in the EMBARK study over the two-year duration. Roche's Chief Medical Officer and Head of Global Product Development, Levi Garraway, stated that the longer-term results are encouraging for people living with SMA and Duchenne, as they demonstrate sustained improvements or stabilization in mobility and independence.
