Roche announced promising three-year follow-up data from the STARGLO study for relapsed or refractory DLBCL patients. Columvi in combination with GemOx demonstrated significantly longer overall survival (OS) compared to MabThera/Rituxan plus GemOx. The OS rate was double for patients treated with the Columvi combination, suggesting a potential curative effect. Benefits were consistent across different patient subgroups, with the greatest advantage seen in second-line patients. The safety profile remained consistent, with cytokine release syndrome as the most common adverse event. This Columvi combination is now approved in over 50 countries and included in international treatment guidelines. It offers an off-the-shelf and fixed-duration therapy, potentially avoiding treatment delays. Roche is also exploring Columvi's potential in first-line DLBCL and mantle cell lymphoma. The STARGLO study evaluated this combination's efficacy and safety in patients ineligible for transplant. The study showed positive results regarding progression-free survival.
