Genentech is investing approximately $750 million to build a new device fill-finish manufacturing facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. This expansion will double the size of the existing campus and enhance end-to-end drug manufacturing capabilities in the U.S. The facility will support advanced drug delivery devices, such as pre-filled syringes and autoinjectors, offering patients more convenient treatment options. This investment is expected to create 250 specialized manufacturing jobs and around 200 construction jobs. Commercial operations are projected to commence in 2031. The Hillsboro project follows the recent topping out of a new manufacturing site in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
