This isolation now extends to AI-processed data with the deployment of the AI Gateway for the GitLab Duo Agent Platform. The AI Gateway operates within the Dedicated single-tenant environment, maintaining data residency and allowing customers to integrate their own AI models. This feature ensures that inference follows customer policies and not external defaults. GitLab Dedicated, hosted and maintained by GitLab, provides high availability and disaster recovery, along with optional customer-managed encryption keys. The platform is designed for scalability and compliance, meeting the stringent requirements of audited software delivery. Agentic workflows, which demand more from the software development lifecycle, can now leverage the same isolation and residency benefits. Customers can connect the AI Gateway to Amazon Bedrock or use their preferred model providers, keeping inference within their AWS region. This allows the Duo Agent Platform's capabilities, like automated code reviews and pipeline fixes, to run against chosen models. Existing GitLab Dedicated subscribers can enable Duo Agent Platform and utilize included GitLab Credits, while new users can start with a free trial.
