Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 review: More screen, more battery but something's missing

Samsung released three foldable phones, with the Z Flip 7 featuring a significantly larger 4.1-inch front display and a slimmer profile despite a bigger battery. The improved display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and 2600 nits peak brightness. The main screen is now 6.9 inches with a better 21:9 aspect ratio, though usability remains slightly hampered by the increased size. Cameras remain largely unchanged from the previous model, offering a 50MP main lens and 12MP ultrawide, lacking a telephoto lens. Video recording is enhanced with 10-bit HDR support. Software improvements include the addition of the Now Bar and Now Brief, similar to Apple's Dynamic Island. App functionality on the front display is limited, requiring a third-party launcher for many applications. Battery life has significantly improved, lasting 18.5 hours in video playback tests, thanks to a larger 4300mAh battery and a new processor. While the Z Flip 7 is a refined device, its camera and software limitations prevent it from being a revolutionary upgrade.
