Seamlessly use your passwords and addresses in Chrome across all devices
Google is introducing an updated identity model for Chrome that aligns with the user experience of other Google services. Unlike the legacy sync model, which required both sign-in and sync enabled, the new model provides access to account data simply by signing in. This change reflects the evolution of cloud services and user expectations, where individuals expect seamless access to their data across devices. Signing into Chrome allows users to utilize saved passwords, addresses, and other account information. While sign-in offers a customized browsing experience, users can still opt out and enjoy a great browser experience without signing in. The ability to save history and open tabs to the account remains an optional choice after signing in. This update is currently available on iOS and will soon be extended to Android and Desktop.
